Your motto in life:

To break the rules, you must first master them.

Your last great read and why you enjoyed it:

The Art of Choosing by one of my favorite Columbia Business School professors, Sheena Iyengar. It’s a revealing look at why and how we make the choices that we make.

Your go-to power outfit:

Tailored and comfortable. Currently I’m loving Zero + Maria Cornejo’s high waisted printed pencil skirts paired with simple silk-cashmere cropped sweaters and a men’s watch.

The beauty product found in your bag at all times:

Lip balm. Apricoderm and Burt’s Bees are staples. Bite’s Agave Lip Mask is also great.

You decompress each day by:

Speaking on the phone with my family. Nothing beats it, and services like Viber and FaceTime have made talking across oceans effortless.

Midnight snack of choice:

Chocolate from Marcolini or Auer.

Charity/charities you support:

UNICEF’s NextGen and my family’s foundation, the Chandaria Foundation, which focuses on tackling health and education issues in Africa.

Your favorite restaurant for brunch and your go-to order:

Right now I’m partial to the caccio-e-pepe scrambled eggs at Maialino paired with one of their freshly baked croissants.

Your most recent culinary discovery and obsession:

A blog called The New Potato that chronicles the culinary habits of everyone from chefs to entrepreneurs.

Your greatest achievement:

Yet to come, I hope!
