Founder, Spa Heroes

02.17.15

Longtime spa pro Jeannie Jarnot is on a mission to help people make healthy skin care the rule and not the exception, just as she’s been doing throughout her 15 year career in luxury hotel and resort spas. As a working mother and spa and beauty expert, she understands the importance of using healthy ingredients in self care products as well as the time it can take to seek them out. Jeannie founded Spa Heroes®, a toxin and cruelty free beauty subscription service delivering only full size products, in 2013 and is dedicated to improving and simplifying the way we discover and purchase our skin care products. Her motto is Use Less. Love More®. She resides in Northern California with her husband and young son. You can connect with Spa Heroes on TwitterInstagram and Facebook.

Favorite Instagram account to follow:

@andreafohrman - I can’t get enough of the gorgeous gemstones she uses in her moon-inspired jewelry designs.

What do you love most about your work?

I love working with people who are also on a mission to deliver safe, toxin-free skincare. I find that sharing a common purpose – to deliver products that are not only non-toxic, but are actually good for you – is empowering and uplifting. And I love that because of my work, my skin at 40 is the best it’s ever been.

Your most recent culinary discovery and obsession:

Herbal Infused Stress Resistance Honey by Naturopathica. I add a teaspoon and a half to my tea to make the most calming, therapeutic cup of tea ever!

Skincare product you can’t live without:

Arctic Berry Cloud Milk Cream by Red Flower. It’s the cream that keeps on giving. I use it allover – toes, bust, lips – and I massage it into my husband’s hands every night.

Your motto in life:

Use Less. Love More. We need so little to be truly happy.

Your last great read:

Leadership as the Hero’s Journey by Eric Kaufmann. I love a book that makes the mythical practical and relevant. It was a great gift from a fellow entrepreneur and friend, Lacey Haegen

Your favorite restaurant for brunch and your go-to order:

Nick’s Cove on the Sonoma Coast. Oysters and Champagne, and anything else on the menu, you can’t go wrong.

On Sunday, we’ll find you wearing:

Roller skates. My husband and I met while rollerskating in San Francisco 15 years ago and we still roller skate there most Sundays.

The beauty product found in your bag at all times:

Indie Lee’s Blemish Stick. I carry it in my purse so I can apply it if I feel a blemish coming on or to treat throughout the day.

Your (real life) hero:

Danielle La Porte. She’s brutally honest, unapologetically spiritual and has great taste in beauty and skincare products.
