Lauren Scruggs is a blogger, author and founder of the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation. California born but Texas raised, Lauren’s love for fashion has been tightly sewn in through her previous work—which includes interning in wardrobe for the hit CW show we all know and love, Gossip Girl. She continued her work in the fashion industry at Michael Kors’ showroom and later covered New York, Paris, and Montreal Fashion Weeks.

Inspired by personal experiences, Lauren wrote two books, Still LOLO and Your Beautiful Heart, proving her wisdom exceeds far beyond style. Most recently, Lauren launched the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation, with the mission to provide beautiful prostheses for women in need. She also started a yearly retreat for girls that have lost a limb to create a community and encourage one another on their journey. What’s the most exciting thing in your life right now:

The Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation recently launched, and it is so special to start this journey to provide women with cosmetic coverings for their prostheses. Also, our dry shampoo, Stranded, launched this month too! It is such a fun and humbling adventure. Oh! And I am a new aunt - it has been the sweetest and most special experience.

Olivia Palermo. Her style inspires me!

What do you love most about your work:

The opportunity to be challenged while constantly learning, growing and connecting—it is a job full of daily inspiration!

One piece of advice you would give your 18-year-old self:

Be who you are, develop deep friendships, read your Bible, and enjoy life!

What’s a trend you predict will catch on this year:

I think denim is going to keep getting more unique and statement making.

Midnight snack of choice:

Sakara granola or raw and activated cheese crisps from Moon Juice. 

Skincare product you can’t live without (and why):

Goop. It is toxin free, highly moisturizing, and it makes my skin feel plump and healthy!

Your last great read and why you enjoyed it:

Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequiest. It really helped me gain a new perspective on balancing my life!

Your motto in life:

Relax, live in the present, be aware, surround yourself with amazing friends, cherish your family, and always focus on what you are thankful for.
