Favorite Instagram account to follow:
My favorite Instagram account to follow is of course @tinkertailor_official.
Your greatest achievement:
Raising a son who has a huge heart and is fearless about pursuing his dreams. He is a musician and his band “Icarus” is very loud (the genre is ‘melodic hardcore’) but I have come to love their music.
What do you love most about your work?
What has always drawn me to fashion and what I love most about my work is the extraordinary creative talent that I get to work with on a daily basis.
One piece of advice you would give your 18 year old self:
Stop once in a while for a little bit, just to enjoy the “here and now.” At that age it is so hard to realize how quickly things fly by.
Skincare product you can’t live without (and why):
Lancome’s clay mask is a must – I have used this product since I was a teenager. It clears up the skin and closes the pores so your face really glows after each use.
Your last great read:
I finally read “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle and wish I had read it a long time ago. I sometimes dwell too much on the past and this book has helped me let go and to enjoy the journey so much more.
The beauty product found in your bag at all times:
I always have a Benefit Cosmetics stick in my bag. It is a concealer, foundation and powder all in one. When you are going out at night with a tiny clutch, the Benefit stick and a lip gloss or lip stick is all you need.
The trend you hope never goes out of style:
Ballet flats. It is so nice to not have to wear heels all the time but still look elegant and feminine.
A charity you support:
I recently co-founded a non-profit organization, the Council of Fashion Designers of Scandinavia, with Connie Holst Morgan (who is originally from Denmark). The purpose of the organization is to help Scandinavian designers build their businesses in the US and internationally.
Your (real life) hero:
My real life hero is my mom. She is my biggest inspiration. She is hard working, intelligent and kind. She inspired me to be an entrepreneur, take risks and build companies – and to always have an appreciation of the people around you, socially and professionally.
