@overheardla hands down! I almost fall on the floor laughing with every post. My days can be very hectic, and the best way to get through it is a little comic relief. This account never fails:)

I wore this gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana gown to a premiere at the Cannes Film festival. It was made of wine red chiffon with embroidered butterflies. Turns out it was completely see through in the hot lights, and you could see pretty much everything in every single shot. Thank god I didn’t go commando!

House of Cards. I simply love that show! And I secretly try to copy Robin Wright’s character’s (Claire) incredible wardrobe. Absolutely flawless. I want to raid that closet!

The creativity. I’m a very visual and also a tactile person. Creating colors, textures, finishes is what I love. Most days I’m knee deep in makeup, not an un-swatched piece of skin in sight. 

Have a thicker skin. The oh-so-glamourous world of modeling isn’t always as glamourous as it seems. Nothing can make you more insecure than making a living with your looks. People feel it gives them the ‘right’ to criticize how you look. How many jobs are there where someone can tell you that they won’t hire you because they don’t like your nose? Obviously, this is a chance that you take going into this line of work, but it doesn’t quite hit you until you experience it. I am so grateful that the industry has changed in the recent years. We have gorgeous girls like Ashley Graham on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition! This is what my brand is all about because you don’t have to be a supermodel to be fabulous. LIFE is your Runway, and we are all walking on it!

Ha! Mama needs her chocolate fix…. Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt, briefly dipped in hot tea. OMG.

I love beauty gadgets, and the one I use the most, and gives me the best results is the NU FACE Trinity Facial toning device. It uses microcurrent technology to stimulate facial muscles and lift the skin, and it actually works! I’ve noticed a change in my facial contours, a bit of a subtle lift. The other thing I love about it is the fact that it doesn’t involve any complicated application, peeling, rinsing, etc. You can basically use it sitting in front of the TV or at the office, which is why I use it all the time. The key is consistency, and so many gadgets end up in the back of the closet, but not this one!

My 7 for all Mankind jeans. I’ve had them forever and I love them. Plus, they come in a 27 with a 34 inseam, which is really hard to find. But hey, there are worse problems than long legs….

Life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it. It isn’t always easy to pick up the pieces and move forward when things go wrong. So many things are beyond our control, but how you deal with it, learn and grow from it, and keep moving forward is what makes the difference. I’ve actually had people say to me: “how much hardship could a famous supermodel possibly have?” We all have our personal tragedies, my father passed away from a stroke, and a few months later my husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away after a brave, but short, fight. There were times where I didn’t think I could move forward, but I persevered, also for the sake of my two children, and now I am the proud owner of a cosmetic company—Runway Rogue.

Either at my Runway Rogue office/photo studio, or at my lab. I’m always testing and tweaking formulas, colors, and textures. My idea of heaven.
