My father used to say that my grandparents “lived every day like it was New Year’s Eve”—they really made sure to live well, eat good food, and truly enjoy every single day. They were European, so it came a little easier to them than it does to me, but it’s definitely something I strive for.

I keep it simple—a solid-colored, perfectly tailored dress with a statement necklace. I have the pleated pocket dress from 25 Bedford in black and poppy, and it’s absolutely the best.

I’m obsessed with the pho ga from Co Ba in Chelsea. It’s light and fresh, super flavorful, and delicious enough to eat even on a hot day.

A well-made Manhattan, especially if it has some sort of fun twist. My current favorite is the Fitted Manhattan from Bo’s Kitchen + Bar Room in the Flatiron—it’s made with yellow chartreuse and allspice liquor, and it’s amazing.
