How to Use an Instacart Promo Code

Got an Instacart promo code? Here’s how to make sure it’s applied before you check out.

—In the app: Open the side menu, select “Credits, Promos & Gift Cards,” and tap “Add promo or gift card.” Enter your code, tap “Redeem,” and it will be added to your account.

—On the website: Go to “Account,” click “Add Promo or Gift Card,” type in your code, and select “Redeem.”

Of course, not every Instacart promotion requires a code. Sometimes you’ll get an email or push notification with a link that automatically applies the discount for you.

And if you have multiple codes saved, only one can be used per order. Instacart will apply the one that expires first, but you can swap it out if you’d rather use a different offer.

Get Instacart Free Delivery on Your First Three Orders

When you sign up for Instacart, your first three orders come with free delivery. The offer lasts for 14 days after your first order, and each order needs to be at least $10.

The discount will show up automatically at checkout, so there’s nothing extra you need to do. Just keep in mind that service fees may still apply even when the delivery fee is waived.

Join Instacart+ to Save on Fees, Subscriptions, and More

If delivery fees are eating into your budget, Instacart+ is an easy way to cut them out. The membership covers grocery and restaurant orders, and it also comes with a few extras that make it feel like more than just a delivery pass.

You can go monthly for $9.99 or commit to the year for $99, and Instacart says just two orders a month is enough to make it pay for itself.

Here’s a closer look at all the ways Instacart+ helps you save.

Get Instacart Free Grocery Delivery on Orders $10+

Forget the delivery fees and save every time you shop. Whether it’s a quick snack restock or a big weekly haul from Trader Joe’s, Instacart+ makes delivery free. Just keep in mind that if you’re shopping at Costco, you’ll need a $35 minimum to get free delivery.

Enjoy Instacart Free Restaurant Delivery on Orders $25+

Takeout always tastes better when the delivery is free. With Instacart+, you can order from your favorite restaurants, skip the fees on orders of $25 or more, and keep that extra cash for dessert instead.

Share Instacart+ Perks With Your Family

Your membership doesn’t just work for you. Add family members to your account so everyone can shop, share carts, and save without paying for multiple plans.

Stream Peacock Free With Your Instacart+ Membership

Your grocery subscription also comes with streaming. Instacart+ gives you Peacock, a $109.99 value, so you can binge shows, watch movies, and stream live sports while you wait for your delivery.

Unlock NYT Cooking Free for a Year

You’ll never run out of dinner ideas with Instacart+. An annual membership comes with a year of New York Times Cooking, a $50 value, so you can cook your way through new recipes all year long.

Start Your 14-Day Instacart+ Free Trial

Instacart+ comes with a 14-day free trial, which gives you a chance to test out the perks—like free grocery and restaurant delivery, family sharing, and even streaming—before you commit.

If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, it will automatically roll into a $99 annual plan.

Opt for Next-Day Delivery to Get Instacart Free Delivery

If you don’t mind placing your grocery order a little early, Instacart waives the delivery fee on next-day orders of $10 or more. Ordering ahead can save up to $7.99 each time, and those savings add up if you use the service regularly.

Get a $50 Instacart Coupon and up to 5% Cash Back With an Instacart Mastercard®

If Instacart is part of your weekly routine, the Instacart Mastercard® can help you save even more. There’s no annual fee, and you’ll get a $50 Instacart credit when you’re approved.

You also earn cash back whenever you use the card. This is how it works:

—You earn 5% on Instacart orders through the app or website for the first $6,000 you spend each year.

—You earn 5% on travel booked through Chase Travel.

—You earn 2% at restaurants (including restaurant orders on Instacart powered by Uber Eats), gas stations, and select streaming services.

—You earn 1% on all other purchases.

On top of the cash back, the Instacart Mastercard® also comes with the usual credit card perks. You get things like purchase protection, extended warranties, rental car coverage, travel insurance, baggage coverage, roadside assistance, and even a 24/7 concierge line.

Get a $10 Instacart Coupon When You Refer a Friend

Sharing your Instacart code is one of the easiest ways to save. When a friend signs up with your referral, they’ll get up to $40 in credits to use on their first two orders. Once their first delivery goes through, you’ll get a $10 credit, too.

There’s no limit on referrals, so you can pass your code around as much as you want. Drop it in the group chat, send it over text, or share it on social. it’s an easy way to make grocery shopping cheaper for both you and your friends.

Check Instacart Flyers for Deals and Discounts

Instacart flyers are like the digital version of flipping through the Sunday paper. You can scroll through deals from big names like Costco and Target or check what your local grocery store has on sale, then add items straight to your cart.

You’ll see everything from single-item discounts to multi-item promotions like “2 for $7.” And if you’re hunting for something specific, you can filter by category—like produce, snacks, or beverages—to get to the good stuff faster.

The real benefit is how much easier they make planning. By checking flyers before you shop, you can build your list around weekly deals instead of crossing your fingers and hoping to spot savings at checkout.

Get an Instacart Discount When You Purchase in Bulk

Instacart often runs deals that give you a better price when you buy a few of the same item. It might be something like “3 for $10” or a discount that shows up when you add extras to your cart.

The trick is to use these promos on things that last, like pasta, canned goods, frozen meals, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and deodorant. They’ll sit in your pantry or closet until you need them, and grabbing them on sale means you save money now and have backups ready later.

Watch for Instacart Holiday Sales to Save Even More

Instacart tends to roll out some of its best promotions during the holiday season. In past years, that has included free delivery offers around Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the weeks leading up to the holidays.

We will likely see similar deals this year, so it is worth keeping an eye out. Check back here closer to the holidays, because we will update this page with the latest promo codes and discounts as soon as they go live.
