MEET THE BRAND: AYR
Whether you are already familiar with AYR or not, we believe it's only right to provide a glimpse into AYR's ethos before delving into our co-owner, Beth Zerdecki's review of their Pop Jeans. AYR, which stands for All Year Round, is a brand that produces clothing for consumers throughout the year. However, it is not just about the seasons; it's also about sustainability. AYR is dedicated to creating fashionable and timeless pieces designed to last, providing a dream capsule wardrobe from an easy-to-shop brand that you can feel good about supporting.
So, if you're looking for a new clothing brand to try that can help you build an everyday wardrobe and invest in pieces you'll be able to wear consistently, AYR is a great option, and The Pop Jeans would make an excellent first purchase. But more on that below.
THE POP JEANS REVIEW: Thoughts from Rank & Style's Co-Owner and CMO, Beth Zerdecki
"I already own AYR’s best-selling The Deep End button-down shirt and wear it more than anything else in my wardrobe (sweatpants aside), so it was only a matter of time before I decided to expand my AYR collection.
The Pop Jeans, a staple on Rank & Style lists for years, is a style that has my friends raving. Priced at $225, they may seem like a splurge, but the quality and fit justify the investment. These jeans are not just a wardrobe staple but a testament to AYR's commitment to sustainable and timeless fashion."

01
Sizing
"I am 5’8” and typically wear a jean size 6 (from Gap, J.Crew, etc.) or a size 28 from other premium brands, including Frame, J Brand, and Joe’s Jeans. I found AYR’s size 28 to be perfectly snug—comfortable but fitted. I went with the 27” inseam to show a little ankle, and it’s spot on."
02
Fit
"Well, the reviews are correct. These jeans hug (and lift) you in all the right places while still feeling extremely comfortable. Sure, I have found some comfortable jeans before, but they are those styles that typically stretch out and lose their shape throughout the day. AYR’s The Pop, however, holds its shape like no other style I’ve tried. These jeans have made it through work days and meetings to weekends filled with kids' birthday parties and still fit and feel as they did on day one. Denim magic? Let’s get into the fabric next."
03
Fabric
"I purchased The Pop in the Laid Back wash, a casual wash that works for nearly every look. The fabric is a mid-weight, medium-stretch denim. Sit, squat, and move with comfort; these jeans allow for all the moment (or lack thereof)."
